Mohinani acquired most of his wealth from the Mohinani Group which includes; Poly Products Ghana Limited, Ghana's first polyethylene factory. Poly Sacks (Ghana) Limited, which produces polypropylene packaging for the agro processing industry. Poly Tank (Ghana) Limited and Poly Kraft (Ghana), which both have an enormous portfolio of products, including water tanks, PET, PVC bottles and other multiple products meant for packaging a wide range of consumer goods, fish, alcoholic beverages, personal care products, pharmaceuticals, and processed foods etc.
Somotex, Somovision and Uniwell other subsidiaries specialize in the distribution of consumer electronics, home appliances and tyres amongst others, with representation of key brands such as LG Electronics, Philips domestic appliances, etc. Somovision is the largest distributor of LG Electronic and PANASONIC products and has 14 retail outlets in Ghana.
Masco Foods, a subsidiary of the Mohinani Group owns the franchise to KFC in Ghana with about 6 outlets.
The Mohinani Group owns South West Estates & Tourism Limited in Ghana and are the developers of one of Ghana’s expensive neighborhoods called Arabella Residency in Cantonments, Accra.
Somoco Ghana Limited another subsidiary of Mohinani Group partnered with Bajaj Auto Limited to launch their boxer motorbikes in Ghana in 2013.
The Mohinani Group has extended its reach beyond the shores of Ghana with operations in London, Hong Kong, India, Dubai, Kenya, Tanzania, etc. The diverse activities of these companies provide employment directly to over 2,000 people across the country, and a global work force of over 3,000 people.
