US rapper, A$AP Rocky Set To Buy English Football Club Tranmere Rovers

American rapper A$AP Rocky has been linked with being part of a consortium aiming to take over at English League Two side, Tranmere Rovers.

The consortium is  led by celebrity lawyer Joe Tacopina. Tacopina , who was Donald's Trump's former representative, has reportedly been in talks with the football club over six months for an 80 percent stake worth £15million.

Tacopina is no stranger to football as he currently owns Italian Serie C football club SPAL. The 58-year-old New Yorker has already experienced football team ownership in Europe, as a shareholder in AS Roma and Bologna, before buying and selling a controlling stake in Venezia.

A$AP Rocky, whose real name is Rakim Myers, is one of the most popular and influential hip-hop artists of the last decade. He is in a relationship with global pop icon Rihanna, with whom he shares two children  RZA, who is two, and 15-month-old Riot Rose.

A source told the Sun's on Sunday's Bizarre column: 'Rocky is tight with Joe and has committed to the Tranmere bid. Joe has been to Tranmere matches and Rocky has plans to go over too after the deal is completed.

A friend and associate of Tacopina, multiple reports claim that the rapper has been tapped up to bring some stardust to the Rovers bid, with a potential documentary series on the horizon.

The proposed takeover is awaiting regulatory approval from the EFL and A$AP Rocky is likely to attend games at Prenton Park once the deal has been confirmed.
