Prof. Joe Amoako-Tuffour

Professor Joe Amoako-Tuffour is a member and secretary of Ghana’s economic management team. He holds a Ph.D. degree in Economics from the University of Alberta, M.A. and B.A. (Hons) from Simon Fraser University in Canada. He is a Professor at St. Francis Xavier University (Canada) where he has taught since 1990, serving twice as head of the Economics Department. He has served in different capacities as a researcher and policy advisor at the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning (Ghana) on taxation and natural resources (mining and petroleum) revenue management.

He serves as Director of research at the African Center for Economic Transformation and a Director and current Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Ghana-Canada Health Company.
