Ernest Ofori is the CEO of Special Ice Company. He jointly controls several businesses in Ghana with his business partner and friend Osei Kwame. They both own shares in Best Point Savings & Loans Limited in Ghana.

Ernest and Osei Kwame jointly purchased a 283 hectare salt mining project in Winneba. The salt project was developed at a cost of $2.3 million in 2003 and is packaged into the U2 brands of salt which is distributed across West Africa. The U2 Salt Mines Limited has a potential capacity to produce 30,000 metric tonnes of salt per annum.

Ernest owns majority stake in Special Investments, an investment firm which owns Special Ice Company Limited. Special Ice Company controls the Ghanaian market for bottled and mineral water products and distributes about 25 million litres of water every year. 

Special Properties another subsidiary under Special Investments owns real estate properties at Airport Residential and East Legon in Accra.

Best Point Savings & Loans Limited, a micro-finance company which Ernest co-owns with Osei Kwame had mobilized deposits to the tune of GH¢20.3 million within nine months of its operation in Ghana with over 20,000 clients.
