Melcom is a supermarket chain in Ghana consisting of 30 shops spread all over the country. It was started in 1989 by Indian magnate Bhagwan Khubchandani. His late father, Ramchand Khubchandani, had arrived in the then Gold Coast in 1929 from Hyderabad, Sindh, post partition India but now part of Pakistan as a 14-year-old to work as a store boy. Bhagwan Khubchandani has managed to keep the family traditions alive in the retail business.

MELCOM operates the biggest supermarket chain in the country and employs over 1,800 people in 30 supermarkets stores in Ghana.
